He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is a chartered accountant with over twenty-six years of working experience.
He is licensed to practice as a chartered accountant in Nigeria with clientele spanning manufacturing, shipping, trading, world bank supported agricultural development projects, air travel, engineering, finance, and government investment group of companies.
Mr. Okunnuga worked with a pioneering Nigerian information and communication technology company, rising from company accountant to General Manager (Finance and Administration) and Director of Product Planning and Development to becoming the acting Managing Director. Within this period, he took a training course in Computer Network Administration with the Drake Institute of Birmingham, England.
He has been into entrepreneurial activity and was briefly the Chief Operating Officer of a business consulting firm providing capital restructuring, fund sourcing, and financial advisory services. Mr. Okunnuga is the managing partner of O. C. Okunnuga & Co. (Chartered Accountants) and CEO of Omega Matrix Ltd (Management Advisory and Executive Services). He is also a non-executive director of COOP Savings and Loans Ltd, a mortgage bank, and Mediplan Healthcare Ltd, a health management organization.
