Tunji Adepetun

Mr. Tunji Adepetun is a graduate of Accounting from the University of Ife (now known as Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) with a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos.

He has worked in the banking sector for over two decades and gained experience and competence in identifying opportunities and creating value in the Corporate, Commercial, and Retailing banking sectors. Over the years, he has gained competence and expertise in structuring and financing transactions in Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hospitality, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and the Health Care Sectors.

While in the banking sector, he worked at Oceanic bank (now Ecobank) as a Zonal Head. He was in charge of 16 business offices across Lagos Mainland, where he gave direction for new business opportunities and growing existing relationships. At Ecobank, he managed a balance sheet above $100m. He provided strategic direction for business growth in 6 key business offices.

Tunji started his banking career in the early 90s in the corporate banking unit at Nigerian American Merchant Bank, where he managed accounts of some blue Chip companies, including Nigerian Breweries, CFAO, and UTC. He later joined the Commercial banking division of Citizens bank, during which he notably managed a portfolio of close to ₦ 1 billion comprising over 50 major Stockbroking Firms’ Accounts.

He was part of the “new” National bank setup team in 2000. He was instrumental in stabilizing and growing the business in the newly set up Treasury Marketing unit of the bank (achieved an N1 billion growth in the first year).
He received a recommendation for Outstanding Performance from the Managing Director of Ecobank in April 2014 in recognition of his superseding set goals.

He runs an investment Banking Firm and is actively involved in Financial and Corporate Finance Advisory, Private Equity, and Structured Finance.

Tunji is passionate about Economic Empowerment and Employment for the younger generation (notably, the less privileged) and is a member of 2 not-for-profit Initiatives.
